Oracle signs education deal with Goa Government

Infotech Lead India: Oracle has signed an education deal with the Goa Government.

The deal between Oracle and the Government of Goa is to integrate the Oracle Academy curriculum into the educational programs of the state’s colleges and schools.

Oracle says the tie up enables Goa’s Ministry of Education to build a strong foundation of technology programs to prepare 18,000 students for IT careers.

250 faculty members will undergo training on the Oracle Academy curriculum that will be delivered to 18,000 students from 113 institutes in Goa, including the state’s engineering colleges, polytechnics, degree colleges as well as secondary and higher secondary schools over the next three years.

In addition, the Oracle Academy’s Advanced Computer Science program is being introduced in all of Goa’s engineering colleges, where students are provided with hands-on access to Oracle database and middleware software and related curriculum.

“The Oracle Academy supports over 1.9 million students across the globe, offering a comprehensive program designed to help them gain a competitive edge,” said Sandeep Mathur, managing director, Oracle India.
