NetBeans IDE 7.3 now available for web and mobile application developers

Infotech Lead America: Oracle announced the general availability of NetBeans Integrated Development Environment (IDE) 7.3.NetBeans IDE 7.3 features advanced HTML5, JavaScript and CSS development capabilities, for faster and easier rich Web and mobile application development. It enables developers to rapidly create Web, enterprise, desktop and mobile applications for the Java platform, PHP and C/C++.

NetBeans IDE is a free, open source IDE. It is available for Windows, Mac, Oracle Solaris, Oracle Linux, and other Linux distributions. The new release improves support for the Java platform with feature enhancements, like new hints and refactorings in the editor and improved support for editing FXML layout files in JavaFX projects.

NetBeans IDE 7.3 continues to support the latest Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE) and GlassFish Server releases. It has a new stand alone JPQL editor  to run and test JPQL queries directly from the IDE.

NetBeans IDE 7.3 empowers developers to create and debug rich Web and mobile applications using the latest HTML5, JavaScript and CSS standards. It provides a single environment where development teams can deliver Java services and create HTML5-based clients.

NetBeans IDE 7.3 includes HTML5 editing with code completion for new HTML5 elements

New JavaScript editor and debugger. It also offers code completion support for jQuery and support for responsive Web design-based applications

NetBeans IDE 7.3 features CSS Styling support and code completion for new CSS3 rules

Live code and Web page synchronization. It enables JavaScript client generation from existing Java REST services.

The new enhanced editor has additional new features such as Breadcrumbs support and access to Clipboard History. NetBeans IDE 7.3 includes new support for profiling Java applications on Linux ARM based systems, such as the Raspberry Pi.

India application development market to reach $227 million in 2012, says Gartner.

In its report ‘Market Trends: Application Development Software, Worldwide, 2012-2016,’ Gartner reported that the application development (AD) software market in India is expected to grow 22.6 percent over 2011 to reach more than $227 million in 2012.

Mobile AD projects targeting smartphones and tablets are expected to outnumber native PC projects by a ratio of 4:1 by 2015. The changes are driven by emerging mobile applications, systems and devices.
