Oklahoma-based Ace Garage Door deployed NCR Silver to run their business more efficiently.
NCR Silver is a tablet-based POS platform powered by NCR Small Business. The Ace Garage Door chose NCR solution after struggling with dismal customer support and expensive upgrades with their previous POS software.
According to John Wester, co-owner and COO of Ace Garage Door, NCR Silver allows its employees to access data from multiple platforms. Further, the system does not require extensive time or effort spent on training.
“NCR Silver has changed the way our business runs,” said Wester. “We now have accurate insight into inventory, which helps us make smarter decisions about what we keep in stock.”
Further, NCR said Ace Garage Door employees now sell more add-on items at checkout as the Silver solution provides real-time recommendations for extra sales.
The system also helps employees cut down on checkout time as the software allows them to quickly ring up customers while keeping track of about 500 SKUs.

In September, NCR Silver received a similar appreciation from Clifford Hicks, the owner of Old Milton Barber Shop in Atlanta. He upgraded his outdated point-of-sale (POS) system to NCR Silver.
