Electrosteel, a pipeline solutions provider in India, has reduced their IT cost by more than 50 percent by deploying Microsoft Office 365.

Microsoft Office 365 has also enabled Electrosteel to improve collaboration among its nearly 1,200 resources workforce across two group companies — Electrosteel Castings and Electrosteel Steels.

Electrosteel has deployed Microsoft cloud-based solution including Lync Online, One Drive and Exchange Online to assist employees to collaborate in a secure environment, protecting its IP and improving R&D efforts.

Microsoft Office 365 has assisted Electrosteel to simplify IT operations. The company’s IT runs from Microsoft’s cloud datacenters. The savings from moving to the cloud has prompted Electrosteel to devise a cloud roadmap that would see the company adopt higher end cloud services like BI and analytics in the near future.

“The line-up of SKUs of Office 365 has helped us choose the right mix of services for various types of workforce in our company. It has helped the IT teams to offer higher value services to business while routine jobs are taken care of through the cloud. We will be adopting Yammer and Power BI,” said Saradindu Paul, associate VP, Electrosteel Group.
