Marc Jacobs uses Microsoft Azure-based invoice automation

Marc Jacobs International, a global fashion house, has partnered with Microsoft and Medius to use MediusFlow, a Microsoft Azure-based AP invoice automation solution that integrates directly with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP.

Marc Jacobs improved supplier relations by ensuring invoices were correctly routed and paid on time.

“By embracing this hybrid cloud model, we are enabling and empowering creativity to continue to push the envelope when it comes to our designs,” Regis Litre, CIO of Marc Jacobs.

IT department at Marc Jacobs is able to route 92 percent of invoices to the correct approver through the computer system — without human intervention.

Marc Jacobs, a leading chain, reduced the time to pay invoices from up to 90 days to five days. Invoices, which arrive in Marc Jacobs’ centralized AP inbox, are automatically routed to the appropriate approver by MediusFlow.

Approvers can receive and approve the invoice from any device, anywhere – improving the company’s ability to innovate. It also provides better insight and more transparency into the company’s profit.

“Marc Jacobs’ success with MediusFlow, Azure and Dynamics is an example of how we can combine the power of the Microsoft Cloud with the expertise of our partners to solve customers’ business challenges,” said Judson Althoff, executive vice president, Worldwide Commercial Business, Microsoft.
