M commerce solutions provider Skava opens development center in Coimbatore

Infotech Lead Asia: Mobile-commerce solution provider for the retail sector Skava has opened its new development center in Coimbatore, India.

The 30,000 square foot center can house up to 400 employees.

The company is expanding its operations aggressively and the opening of this new center is the part of plan.

The new center, located in the TIDEL Park, will serve as a hub for Skava’s product development, services and customer support.

Sudha Varadarajan, co-founder and CTO, Skava, says Coimbatore was selected as the city generates highly skilled resources.

According to Arish Ali Arish, co-founder and CEO, Skava, mobile commerce space has experienced exponential growth.

Retailers are looking at innovative ways to engage with their audience.

Skava works mobile technologies, creating e-commerce enabled apps and websites for iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Microsoft operating systems.

Skava claims that it built the first retail site that is fully optimized for tablets for –Staples, the second largest online retailer in the world. Currently, the company is working with multiple retailers developing their in-store technology solutions and is driving growth and innovation in the technology areas of the future.
