IT solutions provider IBS Software announced that Lufthansa has selected IBS’ crew management solution and will be replacing its Unisys-based Crew Management applications.
Roland Schutz, CIO of Lufthansa and V K Mathews, executive chairman of The IBS Group, signed the IT outsourcing contract.
Lufthansa selected IBS after an evaluation process.
IBS said Lufthansa will now utilize iFlight Crew to modernize their crew management system after replacing the legacy Unisys-based application which Lufthansa used for the past 30 years.
Investment in the IBS software will enable Lufthansa, a global airline, to facilitate seamless dataflow to the existing crew management applications by building over 40 inbound / outbound interfaces to aid in crew rostering, crew scheduling, crew check-in, crew hotel and transport.
