Booz Allen Hamilton
The U.S. Army is partnering with Booz Allen Hamilton to build a new enterprise technology platform, the Accessions Information Environment (AIE). This innovative project, valued at up to $152 million over 3 years (awarded April 2019), will appeal to a new generation of soldiers through social media and community outreach.
WoodWing
BuzzFeed, a tech-powered media company, has selected WoodWing for its Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution, to create a repository for BuzzFeed’s photos, illustrations and other digital assets.
MetricStream
Baptist Health Care, a health care organization, has selected MetricStream, a supplier of the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) apps and solutions, to automate, standardize, and centralize its audit management program.
The MetricStream Internal Audit Management App will provide a unified system to manage multiple types of audits, including financial and IT audits, across Baptist Health Care’s network of hospitals and clinics. The app, built on a GRC platform, will also deliver real-time reporting and intelligence to accelerate decision-making.
Honeywell
Honeywell announced that Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) has selected Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) to be the main automation contractor for its new Petrochemicals and Refinery Integration Al Zour Project (PRIZe).
HPS will provide KIPIC with front-end engineering design and advanced process control technology for the complex, which will help KIPIC expedite production start-up and assist with reaching production targets faster and more efficiently.
Snowflake
Snowflake, the data warehouse built for the cloud, announced that Purple, the creator of the Purple Mattress, uses Snowflake to revolutionize its production process. By using data to measure inventory levels of mattress components, Purple has improved daily production by about 40 percent.
Aria Systems
Aria Systems, the leader in helping enterprises grow subscription- and usage-based revenue, announced that FirstEnergy, a Akron-based public utility serving six states, has selected Aria’s cloud billing platform to support the company’s new eCommerce initiative that features a portfolio of products and services.
Iteris
Iteris, a leader in applied informatics for transportation and agriculture, announced that the Oklahoma Department of Transportation has selected Iteris’ ClearPath Weather solution to provide weather forecasting services for improved year-round road maintenance response covering the entire Oklahoma DOT road network throughout the state.
Red Hat
Red Hat announced that Department of Defense (DoD) worked with Red Hat to help improve aircraft and pilot scheduling for United States Marine Corps (USMC), United States Navy (USN) and United States Air Force (USAF) aircrews.
Using modern development practices and processes from Red Hat Open Innovation Labs that prioritized end user needs, the project team identified unaddressed roadblocks and gained new skills to build the right solution, a digital “Puckboard” application, for their unique scheduling challenge.
MicroStrategy
MicroStrategy, a supplier of analytics and mobility software, announced that Clarin, a newspaper in Argentina, has deployed HyperIntelligence across its employee base. Clarín’s employees, including more than 400 reporters, will be able to make decisions about the performance of their content distributed across print, digital, and mobile channels.
Serco
Serco has won a $43 million IT contract to support the U.S. Navy’s Guided Missile Frigate FFG(X) Program Executive Office (PEO) for Unmanned and Small Combatants as they design, procure, and build the Navy’s next multi-mission Small Surface Combatant.
Serco will advise the Navy on technical design issues, establish the network architecture and cybersecurity of ship systems, develop system integration parameters and test requirements, establish integrated logistic support plans for the ship class, and maintain accurate cost estimates for the Navy.
Kibo
Kibo, a leader in cloud commerce, announced its deal with Calendars.com to further the online retailer’s digital transformation journey. Calendars.com plans to expand the use of Kibo to service its umbrella company, Go! Retail Group, as well as its Shopfuego.com brand.
Clearwater
Clearwater announced that Medical Professional Mutual Insurance Company (Coverys) has selected Clearwater’s SaaS solution for investment data management, reconciliation, accounting, and reporting to provide validated portfolio data, investment book-of-record accounting, and transparent real-time portfolio reporting.
