Ultimaker
Ultimaker, a provider of desktop 3D printing, announced its tech deal with Heineken in order to produce custom tools and functional machine parts to aid in manufacturing at the company’s brewery in Seville, Spain.
Engineers at Heineken use Ultimaker S5 printers to design and print safety devices, tools and parts on-demand rather than outsourcing the job to external vendors. Heineken increased production uptime and saved around 80 percent in production costs on the parts they 3D print.
Telematics Wireless
Telematics Wireless, a provider of smart city networks and control applications, announced that Georgia Power has selected its T-Light Galaxy platform to control and monitor part of more than 900,000 street and area lights throughout the state of Georgia. Telematics Wireless solution will provide network coverage to several counties and metro areas and will control approximately 50,000 lights.
Capgemini
Capgemini’s LYONSCG announced the completion of digital commerce projects with Madewell, PGA TOUR Superstore and Hibbett Sports to improve its customer experience and increase loyalty. Capgemini said LYONSCG provided consulting services including creative and experience design, in addition to Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations.
PacStar
PacStar, a supplier of communications solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), announced that U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) has selected components from PacStar Secure Wireless Command Post (SWCP) for network infrastructure, encryption and cybersecurity for the Marine Common Handheld (MCH) program.
Capgemini
Capgemini announced its engagement with Skandiabanken, the banking arm of Skandia, for the development and implementation of LUX, a new automated system for mortgage processing in Sweden.
Capgemini designed the mortgage solution using Pega Platform, the unified digital process automation (DPA) and case management platform from software company Pegasystems. LUX, created by Capgemini, will optimize the business operations and customer experience of the mortgage offering.
Arkivum
Oncologica, a precision oncology profiling company and Contract Research Organization (CRO), has selected Arkivum to provide an integrated data management solution for regulated genomics and patient data.
SAP
SAP announced legal practice Eversheds Sutherland has implemented cloud-based SAP SuccessFactors solutions for human capital management (HCM) to help increase efficiency and streamline operations for its international organization offices. SAP has rolled out SuccessFactors Employee Central solution to 3,000 employees throughout the United Kingdom, France, Luxembourg, Middle East and Asia.
Emerson
BASF has selected Emerson to modernize automation software and controllers at its specialty chemical production facility in Lampertheim, Germany. The selection of Emerson was part of its five-year investment to boost capacity and operational excellence within its global plastics additives business.
Capgemini
Capgemini announced it has migrated Louisiana Pacific Corporation’s SAP landscape, including more than 70 virtual machines, to Amazon Web Services (AWS) in less than four months.
Louisiana Pacific, a building solutions company, expects the AWS cloud platform will help it to scale production with demand, operate more efficiently and better serve its customers while saving $5 million over five years.

DownUnder GeoSolutions (DUG) announced its Intel-based high-performance computing (HPC) system for the geophysics community. The supercomputers that make up the DUG McCloud network feature over 40,000 Intel Xeon processor-based nodes, and are some of the most energy-efficient HPC systems in the world that are optimized for geophysical research.
