IT deals: Toshiba, SevOne, Gemalto, AWS, Fiserv

Toshiba, SevOne, Gemalto, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Fiserv, Oracle, Microsoft, GE Medical Systems, General Dynamics, among others, announced their latest technology / IT deals.

Oracle

Oracle announced its Cloud deal with clothing and homewares retailer Matalan to maximize its data insights and improve inventory availability and customer service. Matalan will use Oracle Retail Cloud solutions to map inventory assortments against consumer preferences and seasonal trends across 225 stores in the UK and 25 in international markets.

Oracle

Oracle announced its digital transformation deal with Grupo Nazan that sells footwear brands Impuls, Destroyer, and Playa Mayoreo through 100 stores and wholesale channels in Mexico. Oracle will assist Grupo Nazan to better reach customers on the channel of their choice, while gaining a centralized view of engagement.

Microsoft

Microsoft has won a five-year contract worth $1.76 billion for delivering enterprise services for the Defense Department, Coast Guard and intelligence services.

GE Medical Systems

GE Medical Systems Information Technologies, a unit of General Electric Co, has won a $450 million U.S. defense contract for patient monitoring systems, accessories and training.

General Dynamics

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) announced a $501 million deal with the Department of Defense (DoD) in support of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff’s J7 training programs.

Gemalto

Gemalto has won a contract from Uganda for supplying Border Management System (BMS) including airport self-service eKiosks at Entebbe. The e-Immigration solution uses Gemalto’s fingerprint and facial recognition technology.

Toshiba

Toshiba Infrastructure Systems & Solutions has received an order for traction system electrical equipment for 520 cars of commuter train (52 trains comprising 10 cars each) for the Taiwan Railways Administration (hereafter TRA).

SevOne

SevOne, a provider of network and infrastructure management solutions, announced that BT has selected the SevOne Data Platform for performance management to accelerate the execution of their digital transformation strategy.

Amazon Web Services

Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced its Cloud deal with Choice Hotels International to migrate over 1,000 applications to AWS.

Fiserv

Fiserv announced its tech deal with sports tech leader Stack Sports for making youth sports-related payments easier and more efficient. Fiserv will supply the Digital Payments SDK to Stack Sports to enable payment solutions directly within the Stack Sports ecosystem.

Magal Security

Magal Security Systems has won a $2.5 million contract to deliver technology and services to the Port of Huelva in Spain. The solution includes the coverage of the port’s perimeter with anti-climb smart fences, combined day/night and thermal cameras using dual thermal and CCD technologies.
