IT deals: Oracle Cloud, IBM, GEP, Qualtrics, Nielsen

Oracle Cloud, IBM, GEP, Qualtrics, Nielsen, Swift Tactical Systems, Peraton, Mendix, LevaData, SAIC, Guidewire Software, among others, announced their latest IT deals or technology deployments.

IBM announced that Delta Air Lines will be joining the IBM Q Network to explore the potential capabilities of quantum computing to transform experiences for customers and employees.


GEP, a provider of procurement software and procurement services, announced that Brunei Shell Petroleum Company has awarded a contract for SMART by GEP, a procurement software platform. BSP will use the SMART by GEP unified procurement software platform to manage complete source-to-pay across its subsidiary operations.


Qualtrics announced that Slack Technologies, a leading global collaboration hub that makes people’s working lives simpler, has selected Qualtrics CoreXM to gain insights into experiences that impact their business.


Gamut signed a new multi-year agreement for the use of Nielsen Marketing Cloud’s Data Management Platform (DMP). Gamut, a business started by Cox Media Group and a leader in local over-the-top (OTT) advertising, will use Nielsen’s DMP to help advertisers achieve a richer understanding of consumers, intelligently target audiences, and drive better business outcomes.

Swift Tactical Systems

Swift Tactical Systems, a subsidiary of Swift Engineering, has won a $17 million contract to provide Bahamas government agencies and ministries with a Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) program. The multi-agency drone program includes the purchase of 55 short and medium-range drones, immediate surveillance capabilities, training and support, and the establishment of a regional drone academy.

Oracle Cloud

Blue Nile, an online diamond jeweler, has selected Oracle Cloud Applications to provide customers with more choices, information, and service. Blue Nile used Oracle Cloud to streamline financial operations and enhance customer experience.


Peraton has received four U.S. Navy Unmanned Maritime Systems Support (UMSS) task orders valued at $27.45 million.


Mendix, a Siemens business and supplier of low-code and no-code application development for enterprises, has supplied its low-code platform to Rabobank to build a new online-only banking portal called RaboDirect. Mendix has helped Rabobank to reduce IT costs by 50 percent and attributed to delivering a seamless digital customer experience by providing the low-code platform to create the RaboDirect portal.


LevaData, a supplier of applied AI to transform sourcing and procurement, is working with Zebra Technologies to manage its direct materials sourcing worldwide.

Guidewire Software

The Co-operators, a Canadian multi-line insurance and financial services organization, has selected Guidewire Software to deploy Guidewire InsuranceSuite Cloud to power its core operations.


SAIC has won a $727 million Application Modernization Contract for the Department of Defense. SAIC will migrate approximately 800 Air Force and U.S. Army mission applications into the cloud.
