NEC, Insider, Aruba, Clumio, Mobiliti, Cohesity, CyrusOne, YuJa, ACI Worldwide, among others, announced their latest IT deals or technology deployment for their business customers.

Insider

Singapore Airlines has selected Insider for the deployment of Insider’s Growth Management Platform to deliver personalized experiences to customers across all its channels. Singapore Airlines will use the latest AI technologies to deliver personalized, meaningful experiences to each individual based on historical, real-time and predictive data.

NEC

NEC Argentina, the Civil Association DECODES (NGO Bitcoin Argentina) and IDB Lab, the Innovation Laboratory of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop the Blockchain-based Digital Identity for Inclusion Project, which aims to improve the access to goods and services for inhabitants of Buenos Aires through a self-sovereign digital identity.

Aruba

Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, announced its MoU with Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, for establishing the Research Centre by providing necessary hardware, software and annual research grants to support research activities.

NEC

NEC announced an order from Modern Bus Company, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, for an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) to improve the performance of the city’s bus traffic. The system is scheduled to launch operations in 2020.

Universal Robots

Hirebotics has selected Universal Robots to power the BotX Welder, addressing skilled welder shortage. The new for-hire BotX Welder — developed by Hirebotics and utilizing Universal Robots’ UR10e collaborative robot arm – enables manufacturers to automate arc welding with no capital investment.

Clumio

Clumio, a SaaS company for enterprise backup, announced its tech deal with Zetron that offers integrated command and control solutions and information services for public safety, transportation and healthcare markets.

Cohesity

Cohesity announced that global restaurant chain Wendy’s strengthened and simplified its backup and recovery processes by deploying Cohesity. The Cohesity proof of concept has enabled the IT team to reduce backup times from 12 hours to two. Wendy’s decided to deploy Cohesity across its entire IT environment, which includes one petabyte of data, approximately 850 Linux and Windows servers, and over 700 hundred VMware virtual machines (VMs).

CyrusOne

Colocation solutions provider CyrusOne announced its tech deal with Data Canopy, a hybrid infrastructure provider, to expand their data center network to include Cincinnati, Ohio; Dallas, Texas; Raleigh, North Carolina and Santa Clara, California upon its completion.

ACI Worldwide

ACI Worldwide announced that Nichols College has selected ACI’s bill payment solution to improve its students’ bill pay experience. Nichols College selected ACI’s bill payment solution that enables students to settle their accounts and make on-campus purchases through digital channels, including mobile payments such as text-to-pay and digital wallets.

YuJa
YuJa announced a technology deal with Washington & Lee University to provide campus-wide lecture capture system and video management solution. YuJa said the contract includes enterprise integration with their existing Sakai and Canvas Learning Management Systems (LMS), software-based classroom lecture capture, video management and ensuring software compatibility with existing classroom and enterprise infrastructure.

Mobiliti

carsales.com, an online automotive classified platform in Australia, has selected Mobiliti, a leader in vehicle subscription technology, to integrate Mobiliti’s subscription technology with carsales’ vehicle listing platform. carsales works with more than 4,000 automotive dealers in Australia and has 20 million unique monthly visitors to its sites.

GE Aviation

Utair has selected GE Aviation to supply wireless mini Quick Access Recorders (QAR) to assist Utair for meeting its flight data collection requirements from the State Civil Authority of Russia (SCAA). The wireless QAR will help Utair to streamline their processes, reduce workload for their maintenance and engineering teams, while increasing the amount of usable data available.

Infor

Infor, a cloud software company, announced that Auckland Transport (AT) has selected Infor to manage its assets on Infor CloudSuite EAM. The software-as-a-service (SaaS) project will help optimise AT’s assets to attain better decision-making and boost customer satisfaction.
