IT deals: McAfee, Salesforce, IBM, Novarad

McAfee, Salesforce, IBM, Novarad, OneView Commerce, Phobio, Lexalytics, Localytics, Viasat, among others, announced their latest IT deals or technology deployments.

McAfee, a cybersecurity company, has been selected by the Joint Authorization Board (JAB) for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Connect program. McAfee MVISION Cloud portfolio is being prioritized for FedRAMP High authorization based on demand from federal government agencies and approval by the Joint Authorization Board (JAB).


George Washington University Hospital, in partnership with Novarad, announced the implementation of an augmented reality (AR) medical solution in a surgical setting. The OpenSight Augmented Reality System, powered by Microsoft HoloLens, renders 2D, 3D and 4D images of patients interactively, while overlaying them directly onto the patient’s body.

OneView Commerce announced that Australia Post has gone live with the foundation of their point of sale on the OneView platform delivering mobile capabilities to almost 400 stores across Australia.


Phobio, the omni-channel trade-in service that allows for consumer and business technology device upgrades, announced that SaskTel will deploy the company’s SafeTrade platform in all its corporate and dealer retail locations.


Biogen has selected Lexalytics to improve its customer experience with a new AI-based text analytics system for its Japanese Medical Information Department (MID). The semi-custom application combines machine learning and NLP to help call operators respond to questions it receives from patients, physicians and the media regarding Biogen and its therapies.


CRM supplier Salesforce announced that John Varvatos, an international design house, is using Salesforce to deliver a luxury retail experience in-store and online.


IBM and Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, one of Europe’s leading organization for applied research, announced an agreement to partner in the area of quantum computing with the goal of advancing the research and experimentation in Germany.


Localytics, a digital intelligence platform for mobile and web engagement, announced that Galp, a Portugal-based energy company, has selected Localytics to accelerate its digital customer engagement strategy. Localytics will enable Galp to develop digital customer experiences through its EvoDriver mobile platform, allowing gas station and convenience store customers to pay through mobile wallet.


Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) has selected Viasat’s in-flight connectivity (IFC) system for its new Airbus fleet additions: the A321LR and the A330-300E.
