IT deals: Comcast Business, Kao Data, Salesforce, Gogo, Qualitest

Comcast Business, Kao Data, Salesforce, Gogo, Qualitest, among others, announced their latest IT deals or technology deployments.

Comcast Business

Comcast Business announced that Cerulean Global Services, a data center provider offering colocation and managed services, has selected Comcast Business to install 100Gbps circuits between the company’s San Jose and Rancho Cordova, Calif. data centers.

Kao Data

Kao Data, a wholesale colocation data centre provider, has signed a new customer contract with EMBL-EBI, a not-for-profit, international research infrastructure and global leader in the storage, analysis and dissemination of large biological datasets.

The EMBL-EBI contract will initially utilise 1.5MW of capacity across six Technology Cells within Kao Data London One’s first technology suite (TS01), offering the ability to scale quickly into the new development in TS02 as future demands require.

Salesforce

CRM supplier Salesforce announced that luxury jewellery retailer Annoushka has launched an ecommerce platform across EMEA and APAC built on Salesforce Commerce Cloud to deliver a first-class experience to its customers.

Catylist

The Birmingham Commercial REALTORS Council (BCRC) has partnered with Catylist to power the new Birmingham Commercial Exchange (BCX) for commercial listings. The new service recently launched at birminghamcommercial.realestate, and will connect commercial real estate professionals, owners, tenants and investors looking to buy, sell and lease properties throughout the Birmingham, AL area.

Gogo

Gogo, a provider of broadband connectivity for aviation, has surpassed 1,500 commercial aircraft installed and activated with satellite in-flight connectivity (IFC).

Qualitest

Qualitest said recently that telecommunications provider BT will be working with Qualitest, a software testing and quality assurance company, to support the delivery of the backbone to their digital infrastructure, including the development of their 5G offering.

Coursera

Coursera, an online learning platform, announced a partnership with medicine company Novartis. Novartis will use Coursera’s enterprise platform, Coursera for Business, to offer a transformative learning experience to its 108,000 employees of more than 140 nationalities worldwide.

ADVA

Sify, one of the largest ICT service providers in India, is deploying the ADVA FSP 150 as the foundation of its new managed Ethernet service offering to deliver secure, highly reliable end-to-end Ethernet services, leveraging its nationwide MPLS core network.

Orange Business

Orange Business Services said it will assist Radio France for the transformation of the media infrastructure of its headquarters to next generation full IP technology. This project is part of Radio France’s ambition to invest heavily to modernize its production and broadcasting tools for all radio and radio-related content by 2022.

Qvest Media

Qvest Media, a leading systems architect and ICT Media integrator, will provide consulting for the European Parliament in the strategic and innovative development of their broadcast and multimedia infrastructures. The four-year consulting agreement comprises the services provision for the parliamentary offices in both Brussels and Strasbourg.
