Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced that The Globe and Mail has selected AWS as its preferred cloud provider and as its standard for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) workloads.

Perspecta has won a $162 million contract from the US Air Force Enterprise Information Technology and Cyber Infrastructure Division of the Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Program Executive Office (PEO) for the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) Enterprise Modernization program.

Science Applications International (SAIC) won a $14 million contract from the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command to provide cyberspace support.

Skywire Networks

Skywire Networks has won a technology contract from Success Academy Charter Schools to provide internet services in 46 schools.


Google announced technology deal with India’s Prasar Bharati to air live national events such as the Independence Day and Republic Day telecast on YouTube and Google Search. Google India will be digitising content of All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan on Google Arts & Culture, and host Prasar Bharti’s digital archives in over 12 Indian languages on YouTube.

BAE Systems

BAE Systems has won a Phase 2 contract to develop machine learning capabilities aimed to help the military gain better awareness of space scenarios for the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
