Intermap Bags US $2.1mn contract for radar mapping solutions

Intermap has bagged a US $2.1 million contract for airborne radar mapping services solution.

Intermap is using its proprietary Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (IFSAR) technology to collect ortho-rectified radar imagery and high resolution elevation data to enhance the customer’s existing geospatial map database.

The company said new dataset will be used for improved disaster planning, resource management, security interests, and infrastructure planning. .

The project will commence in July 2015 and final delivery of the dataset is expected by the end of the year 2015.

“Because of its unique capabilities, Intermap’s Orion Platform based IFSAR radar mapping technology is considered to be the best and most reliable approach for the customer’s requirements,” said Todd Oseth, president and CEO of Intermap.
