Infosys has revealed that Richard Lobo, Executive Vice President, has tendered his resignation from the IT services company, becoming the second high-profile departure within a week.
Richard Lobo, who previously led the Human Resources division at Infosys, had later been assigned to the Special Projects team under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Salil Parekh.
The news of Lobo’s resignation follows another notable departure last week when Charles Salameh, the Global Head of Account Expansion, also resigned from the company. Infosys made an official announcement regarding Lobo’s resignation through a regulatory filing, disclosing that his last working day with the company would be August 31, 2023. The filing also expressed the company’s appreciation for Lobo’s valuable contributions and services during his tenure at Infosys.
In his resignation statement, Lobo expressed gratitude for the opportunities and experiences he had while working at Infosys. The specific reasons behind his resignation have not been disclosed in the announcement.
It is noteworthy that Infosys has witnessed a series of significant departures in recent times. Apart from Richard Lobo and Charles Salameh, other key executives who recently left the company include Vishal Salvi, the Global Chief Information Security Officer and Business Head, and EVP Narsimha Rao Mannepali, who had been associated with Infosys for 22 years.
Mohit Joshi had previously resigned as the President and COO of Infosys in October 2022. These departures have raised questions about the potential impact on the company’s operations and management structure.
As of now, Infosys has not provided further details regarding the reasons for these high-profile departures. The company’s stakeholders and industry observers may closely monitor how these changes will affect the organization’s future strategies and stability.
