Infotech Lead Asia: Infosys claims that its India in a Box solution based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV helps its Japanese clients in moving to a robust IT infrastructure in eight weeks.
Infosys has offices in Tokyo and Nagoya with more than 200 employees. It set up its Japan operations in 1997.

The Microsoft Dynamics NAV-based solution enables Japanese companies to jumpstart their business operations in India in a shorter time by moving to a robust IT infrastructure in eight weeks.
Infosys claims that the pre-packaged solution is tailor-made for the unique Indian market, addressing issues such as local taxation and accounting.
The customized solutions offers financial management, supply chain management, production management, service, resource, & project management, employee management and customer management to Japanese clients.
“Japanese firms are looking to grow in India, which is why ‘India in a Box’ is such a valuable resource. What used to take years – learning how to navigate the often-complicated Indian marketplace – now takes a matter of weeks. Japanese companies can use this innovative Infosys product as their all-in-one business solution,” said Tomoyuki Nakanishi, group senior manager, Dynamics Product Group, Microsoft Japan.
India in a Box by Infosys enables firms to easily establish the interface with the Enterprise Resource Planning in the home office. Executives in Tokyo can manage the sales and production of their Indian operations on a daily basis without a hitch.
“With this new solution Infosys has tried to address one of the biggest issues facing Japanese companies entering the Indian market: The sometimes rocky interface between a new location and Tokyo headquarters,” said V Sriram, head of Japan, Infosys.
Recently, Hudson, a talent solutions company, has implemented Infosys TalentEdge platform. Infosys claims that Hudson has benefitted from significant savings since it adopted the cloud-based platform 18 months ago. The cost savings were through process efficiencies, technology, management and support time, and real estate costs.
