Infosys Launches New Offering to Improve IT Infrastructure

Infotech Lead India: Infosys announced the launch of its new service offerings for infrastructure testing. The service is the combination of infrastructure management and application testing. Aimed at tapping the $5 billion infrastructure management market, this solution helps its customers test the readiness and performance of their IT infrastructure. The offering comprises a range of services that span the entire infrastructure life cycle, from new hardware deployment and integration to migration and operations.

“End-to-end infrastructure testing services, with related program governance, risk assessment, configuration, security, interface and performance testing will help enterprises scale up to meet the multi-dimensional complexity of their growing infrastructure and application portfolios,” said Rona Shuchat, director, Application Development, Testing and Management Services, IDC.

“Infrastructure testing is an innovation at the intersection of two of our core offerings – Infrastructure Management and Testing. This is an excellent example of how we are innovating across services to help our clients drive greater IT infrastructure reliability,” said Chandrashekar Kakal, senior vice president and Global head of Business IT Services.

According to industry estimates, the cost of data center downtime can range between $ 80,000 and $ 500,000 an hour for large enterprises. Infrastructure testing helps to reduce downtime and resulting costs.

Infosys opens new delivery center in the U.S.

As part of the expansion in the U.S, Infosys has opened a new delivery center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The facility will provide end-to-end technology, consulting and systems integration services, and also will house a training center.
