Infosys, in collaboration with Microsoft, has successfully completed the foundation phase of a significant digital program for Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, a leading bank in Australia with more than 2.3 million customers.
The program involved the consolidation of multiple legacy document management systems into a single enterprise document management system (EDMS) using Microsoft’s SharePoint Online.
By leveraging Infosys Cobalt cloud offerings, the new platform enables Bendigo and Adelaide Bank to democratize data, streamline document storage, and enhance collaboration across the organization. This initiative aligns with the bank’s commitment to leveraging data for improved customer outcomes and strengthens data governance.
The migration of document management systems to a cloud-based platform has also enhanced the employee experience. The bank can now define security groups and manage permission levels more effectively to meet rigorous audit and compliance requirements. The platform ensures a consistent user experience across the bank’s products and services, while also improving privacy and document retention compliance.
Furthermore, the cloud-based platform automates the data migration process, resulting in a significant reduction in operational overheads. Bankers at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank now have access to modern user interfaces, enhanced accessibility, and a range of functionalities in the upgraded SharePoint experience. The consolidation of data involved retrieving 15 million documents from disparate systems and substantially improved the privacy and security of document stores.
Nathalie Moss, Practice Lead, Lending Technology at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, highlighted the program’s positive impact on customer service. With centralized document storage and a common searchable access approach, employees can now serve customers faster and more efficiently.
The ability to quickly locate relevant customer documents allows for a deeper understanding of customers and enables personalized service during every interaction. The program led by Infosys has significantly enhanced operational flow, empowered staff, and contributed to the bank’s award-winning customer experience, Nathalie Moss said.
Andrew Groth, Executive Vice President and Region Head for Australia and New Zealand at Infosys, commended Bendigo and Adelaide Bank on the outstanding results achieved through the transformation of complex legacy systems using the Infosys Cobalt cloud ecosystem.
Kiet Le, Partner Director at Microsoft ANZ, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration between Infosys and Microsoft. The bank’s utilization of SharePoint’s rich capabilities to democratize data, improve customer value, and drive tangible outcomes at scale showcases the success of this partnership.
The completion of this digital program marks a significant milestone for Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, enabling the bank to leverage advanced technology, streamline operations, enhance customer service, and achieve improved outcomes for employees and customers.
