Under the deal, Infosys will acquire a 75 percent stake in Versent Group, a Telstra-owned digital transformation solutions provider renowned for its cloud expertise and advisory services.

Infosys will have operational control, while Telstra retains a 25 percent minority stake, combining Telstra’s connectivity, Versent’s local digital engineering capabilities, and Infosys’ global scale. This collaboration strengthens Infosys’ presence in Australia and New Zealand, enabling businesses to adopt AI-first cloud solutions efficiently.

Versent Group, with 650 engineers, advisors, and strategists, serves large enterprises in government, education, financial services, energy, and utilities sectors. By integrating Infosys’ AI capabilities, Infosys Cobalt cloud platform, and cybersecurity expertise through The Missing Link, the joint venture aims to deliver end-to-end digital transformation solutions that are secure, scalable, and innovation-driven.

This collaboration builds on Infosys’ ongoing multi-year partnership with Telstra to enhance software engineering, IT transformation, and digital innovation, including Telstra’s Connected Future 30 strategy.

The venture underscores Infosys’ strategic focus on AI, cloud adoption, and digital consulting to help enterprises modernize operations, improve customer experience, and accelerate growth in a competitive digital landscape.

Salil Parekh, CEO of Infosys, said: “By bringing Infosys Topaz to complement Versent’s cloud-first digital foundation, we unlock AI-first innovation for Australian enterprises, driving smarter, faster, and more resilient digital transformation.”

Vicki Brady, CEO of Telstra, said: “Our collaboration with Infosys reflects our confidence in creating new value together. Combining global scale with local expertise will help enterprises innovate and grow in today’s AI-driven economy.”

The transaction is expected to close in the second half of FY 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, marking a significant step in Infosys’ strategy to lead AI and cloud transformation in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
