Infor to drive Hyundai Motor’s customer experience initiatives in Europe

Infotech Lead Europe: Hyundai Motor has selected Infor’s SaaS-based learning management software (LMS) and learning content management software (LCMS) to support its business growth in Europe.

As part of a long-term strategy, Hyundai is looking at improving customer experience by supporting the retail network with contextual knowledge. At present, the automobile giant has 2,500 dealerships across 28 markets in Europe.

“As a modern premium car manufacturer we sought an innovative learning technologies partner which could not only deliver rapid knowledge and business impact, but would also reflect the sophistication of our brand,” said Dieter Tolksdorf, training manager, Hyundai Motor Europe.

In 2012, Hyundai sold 444,000 units of vehicles, grabbing 3.5 percent market share, in the European automobile market.

The new integrated LMS/LCMS training platform offers content creation and social and mobile capabilities.

Infor, a provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, says the new contract follows the recent acquisition by Infor of global learning technologies innovator Certpoint Systems.

Hyundai Motor will offer contextual knowledge to approximately 30,000 users, in more than 2,500 dealerships, across 28 markets in Europe.

Ara Ohanian, VP, Infor Learning Technologies, said: “The platform’s speed-to-knowledge in both structured and unstructured formats will allow Hyundai to spread knowledge swiftly to its expanding workforce.”
