Infor, a provider of business application software, is strengthening customer relationship management (CRM) business with new investments.
The development follows Infor’s acquisition of Saleslogix in September 2014. Infor has been focusing on R&D for Saleslogix, now known as Infor CRM, since then.
During the acquisition Infor announced plans to extend CRM with industry-specific attributes and processes integrated with Infor ERP applications beginning with Infor CRM Automotive, CRM Healthcare, CRM Public Sector, and CRM Manufacturing.
The company now plans to boost investments to increase scalability and deliver industry-specific functionality.
“We are investing in concert with our overall company strategy to deliver functionally rich applications along with a beautiful user experience, to ultimately lower total cost of ownership for our customers,” said Grant Halloran, global vice president and general manager, Infor Marketing and CRM.
CRM applications market offers lucrative opportunity for vendors. Gartner recently estimated that CRM market revenue worldwide will grow from less than $24 billion in 2014 to more than $42 billion in 2018.
