IBM signs $63 mn digital transformation deal with ICBC Argentina

IBM today announced its 5-year digital transformation deal worth $63 million with ICBC Argentina.
Roberto Alexander, country manager of IBM ArgentinaICBC Argentina will be using IBM AI and Cloud to improve response time by predicting 75 percent of specific system failures, understand online user behavior and preferences in its home banking platform, reduce up to 30 percent of client queries through online services powered by Watson.

Guillermo Tolosa, CIO of ICBC Argentina, said: “Working with IBM Services allows us to leverage IBM’s experience in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud and Services with open and secure standards.”

ICBC Argentina will accelerate its digital transformation for personalized banking experience to customers.

“ICBC is accelerating its transformation with cutting-edge technology to take a step forward in the disruption of the banking industry in Argentina,” said Roberto Alexander, country manager of IBM Argentina.

IBM will continue managing the IT infrastructure to accelerate the digital transformation plan as well as to boost innovation and improve efficiency through and IBM Cloud Public credits and upgraded capabilities of its IBM Mainframe z14 technology.
