Enterprise IT vendor IBM announced its deal to acquire Resource/Ammirati — a US-based digital marketing and creative agency.
This is IBM’s first acquisition of a digital marketing creative agency.
IBM aims to assist its enterprise clients to create transformative brand experiences using digital capabilities. IBM has more than 1,000 designers working with developers and consultants offering design and technology expertise to clients.
IBM Interactive Experience (IBM iX), the largest global digital agency, provides services to its clients such as Air Canada, Boston Children’s Hospital, Citi and Staples. IBM says it has some 24 global IBM Studios.
Ohio-based Resource/Ammirati has 300+ associates across its offices in Columbus, Chicago and New York. The number of IBM iX employees is over 10,000.
The main enterprise clients of Resource/Ammirati include Birchbox, DSW, Nationwide, Nestle, Newell Rubbermaid, North American Breweries, Shaw Industries, Sherwin Williams, Toys “R”Us and White Castle, among others.
