Great American Cookies, Waffle House deploy NCR POS

Great American Cookies and Waffle House have deployed NCR Silver cloud based point of sale (POS) system.

With these deployments NCR continues to expand in franchise market and NCR Silver is now in 23 well known franchise brands across the United States.

Available in more than 140 stores, Great American Cookies has already deployed NCR Silver and plans to add at more sites.

Waffle House is using NCR Silver at 1,400 of its corporate locations and plans more franchise locations by the end of the year.

According to the International Franchise Association (IFA) the franchise businesses will generate the revenue of $889 billion in 2015.

Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and fast causal restaurants will contribute 26 percent of the revenue and QSR will also generate the job growth in 2015.

NCR Silver has helped franchise businesses by switching from traditional cash registers and other could solutions.

Waffle House has seen a 79 percent reduction in customer checkout times whereas Great Amercian Cookies has benefited from advanced reporting and quicker employee training due to NCR Silver’s ease of use.

“Over the next few months, we will likely see enterprise ready mPOS systems, including NCR Silver, making more inroads into the franchise space because of their shorter registration process, merchant onboarding times and plug and play set up,” said Theresa Jameson, senior analyst from Datamonitor Financial.

Few days ago, Maxeda DIY Group deployed NCR technology to improve customer experience and increase sales. Maxeda DIY deployed more than 1,300 NCR POS systems.

Qatar National Bank also selected NCR few days back to deploy its customer Experience Banking (Cxbanking) software-APTRA Activate to support customer transactions.

Last month, NCR announced Zing Leisure, Burger King Franchise selected NCR restaurant technology to improve customer experience and the efficiency of its business across 18 restaurants.
