Five9 strengthens global sales and channel team to drive growth

Five9, a provider of cloud contact center solutions, announced new appointments to the company’s global sales and channel organizations to drive growth.

Dan Burkland, president, who has managed the sales organization for nearly a decade, will continue in his role. Dan Burkland was instrumental in doubling the number of customers with over $1 million in annual recurring revenue over the last two years to more than 40.

Five9 has promoted Andy Dignan to SVP of Global Channels and Services to lead the company’s channel and international expansion strategy. Andy Dignan has spent his entire career in the contact center industry and most recently led go-to-market globally for the collaboration business at Cisco.

Five9 is bringing on two additional vice presidents with extensive enterprise contact center go-to-market experience.

The company also announced the resignation of James Nystrom effective July 15, 2019, who was most recently EVP, Sales leading North America direct sales.

“Dan will continue to provide the direction for our go-to-market efforts with these new hires and our long-tenured sales executives continuing to direct day-to-day sales activities,” said Rowan Trollope, CEO of Five9.
