ERP suite SAP S/4HANA finds its 1,000th customer in Daimler

SAP S4 HANA business suiteBusiness software major SAP revealed that its ERP suite SAP S/4HANA has reached its 1,000th customer.

The German software power house said SAP S/4HANA has become the fastest-selling product in SAP’s history.

Automobile major Daimler will become the 1,000th customer to use SAP S/4HANA as it deploys its global order and supply system. Daimler will gain from a safe and sustainable IT environment that has the capabilities to meet business objectives.

Customers can deploy in-memory database SAP S/4HANA, designed specifically for SAP HANA, on premise, in the cloud or with a hybrid approach.

“SAP S/4HANA helped customers realize benefits including improved employee productivity, real-time access to information using in-memory technology and support for the realization of new business models driving our digital world,” said Uwe Grigoleit, SAP S/4HANA Go-to-Market general manager and senior vice president at SAP.

IDC, which has surveyed over 300 SAP customers and conducted interviews with organizations live with SAP S/4HANA, says enterprises are looking at refreshing their ERP to use new digital business models, drive employee productivity and provide real-time access to the latest information.

Meanwhile, the latest release of SAP S/4HANA (1709), available earlier this month, aims to make it even easier for companies to run live with intelligent ERP. It includes machine learning capabilities and predictive analytics.
