Epicor Software wins deal from Big 5 Sporting Goods

Epicor ERP softwareEpicor Software, a provider of enterprise software, in association with Orchid Advisors, announced that Big 5 Sporting Goods has selected the Epicor FFL Compliance Manager application to streamline firearms management processes with cloud-based technology.

Big 5 Sporting Goods has chosen to implement the FFL Compliance Manager application—utilizing Orchid Advisors as the implementation specialist.

The solution will help Big 5 Sporting Goods simplify electronic acquisition and disposition (A&D) reporting and  and modernize business processes for serialized asset procurement and FFL-based controls as well as inventory management, and eliminate time-consuming double entry of regulated data, among other goals, the company said.

“Our primary objective is to deliver an outstanding retail experience to firearm consumers during every touchpoint without adversely impacting our ATF compliance or operating efficiency,” said Rick Gridley, director, public affairs, Big 5 Sporting Goods. “With the FFL Compliance Manager solution that goal will be achieved.”

“Integrating an A&D book with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and point of sale (POS) software requires industry-specific experience, ATF compliance expertise, and an investment in robust employee education,” said Jon Rydberg, CEO, Orchid Advisors.
