eClinicalWorks to make $30 mn investment to enhance digital healthcare

eClinicalWorks, a provider of healthcare IT solutions, announced $30 million investment to enhance digital healthcare in Asia, targeting India and other countries.

The aim of eClinicalWorks, headquartered in Westborough, United States, is to develop talent and cloud-based technology infrastructure in Asia.

The company has more than 4,300 members worldwide, with Indian presence at Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Bangalore.

eClinicalWorks delivers healthcare IT solutions such as electronic patient medical records, population health and patient engagement tools for more than 1,15,000 doctors. Tele health capabilities allow patients to access their doctors via mobile phones, enabling them to address medical concerns.

The company said its cloud-based Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) covers hospital management, automating processes from patient registration through discharge, emergency room services, documenting patient care, managing tests, blood banks and surgical theatre. Hospitals can also manage human resources functions and payroll.

eClinicalWorks’ cloud-based patient medical records solution streamlines doctor’s office and aims to improve the quality of care for thousands of organizations and can be accessed via computer, tablet or mobile device. Practice management and billing are other features.

The technology of eClinicalWorks manages more than 200 million patients’ records.
