CyberLink unveils PowerDirector software bundle for video creation on Windows 8 Devices

PowerDirector 11, together with PowerDirector Mobile, offers the first tailor-made video creation solution for both desktop and portable applications

Recognizing that Microsoft’s new touch-focused Windows 8 OS enables fresh usage scenarios on hybrid devices, CyberLink developed PowerDirector Mobile to facilitate on-the-spot video editing and distribution for consumers who want to capture and share content wherever they are.

Full interoperability with PowerDirector 11 affords users the option of transferring PowerDirector Mobile content back to their desktop system for further editing later.

“While new hybrid hardware designs open up exciting usage possibilities for traditional notebook users, there is a distinct lack of powerful video creation software that works as well in a portable setting as it does in a desktop environment,” said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink.

“CyberLink is the first software vendor to offer a solution that is tailor-made to each usage scenario, resulting in a far more fluid and enjoyable experience for consumers,” Chang added. “This hybrid approach presents a distinct area of competitive advantage for CyberLink moving forward.”

The mobile version of PowerDirector 11 is available now on the Windows Store. Codes for free activation of the app, along with download and installation instructions, are available with each purchase of the desktop version of PowerDirector.
