Center for Sustainability Energy (CSE) has deployed Box platform to power a cloud-based document submission and review process as part of the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP).
CVRP promotes the adoption of new zero-emission vehicles, including battery-electric, plug-in hybrid electric and fuel cell vehicles.
Box has decreased the time between initial rebate application submission and receiving supporting documents by over 50% with the new online process for submitting supporting documents.
Company officials said over 8,000 rebate applicants has submitted their documents online since February 2015. The applicants can submit supporting documentation for their rebate application with the permission of the new cloud based system which uses Box’s Content API.
Additionally, CSE’s rebate processing specialists review the submitted application and supporting documents online and approve the rebate or communicate with the applicants about follow-up actions.
Prior to Box it took several weeks via United States Postal Service and now the work can be completed in a matter of days using the online document submission portal.
Also, nearly 50,000 third-party developers are building services on the Box platform, leveraging the Box Content and Box View APIs.
Developers and enterprise customers can build applications for the information economy and transform how individuals and organizations create, consume and collaborate on content leveraging Box’s API.
Last month, GREE deployed Box’s cloud content sharing and collaboration platform to over 1,500 of its employees in Japan.
Few weeks ago, Box acquired Verold, a cloud based 3D model viewer and editor to integrate 3D conversion and previewing directly into Box’s enterprise content collaboration platform.
In March, The Recording Academy selected Box for managing and collaborating on content in the cloud.
