Infotech Lead America: Vormittag Associates (VAI), a provider of ERP software, has been selected by Colonial Grocers for its S2K for Food software to improve inventory management processes, increase productivity and gain insights by processing customer and product data.
Colonial Grocers, an independent wholesale grocery, tobacco, candy and beverage distributors, serving more than 3,000 convenience stores and gas stations in the state, says it was looking for a food solution to automate and integrate its core business functions.
MCS Business Technologies, an independent, employee-owned organization dedicated to offering enterprise business solutions, assisted Colonial Grocers to VAI S2K for Food.
VAI’s S2K software was chosen mainly because of the ease with which it integrated with the various technology services Colonial Grocers already uses to process payroll, shipping, credit card transactions, direct store delivery, and forms and labels. S2K for Food gave a combined view of inventory across Colonial Grocers’ three companies – Payless on the Go, Payless Cash & Carry Club and Colonial Grocers Distribution Services.
With VAI’s BI analytics provides Colonial Grocers with dynamic dashboards and reports to help the company obtain more value from its enterprise data. Colonial Grocers can benefit from valuable real-time feedback used to achieve improved service levels and gain insight into key revenue generators.
