Cognizant Foundation India is dedicated to fostering meaningful change by empowering individuals with disabilities, promoting holistic child development, and advancing gender equality. The organization’s programs have continually adapted to meet societal needs, often supported by volunteers from Cognizant Outreach who contribute their skills and technology.

Recent efforts have focused on two primary initiatives: Health4All and Future4All. These projects aim to enhance access to quality health care, promote inclusive learning environments in schools, and provide digitally-enabled STEAM education and technology-driven skills training, all leading to improved employment opportunities.

“For the last 20 years, Cognizant and Cognizant Foundation India have been dedicated to driving social change that improves lives and empowers communities across India,” Ravi Kumar S, Chief Executive Officer of Cognizant, said.

In the current 2023-24 period, Cognizant Foundation India has supported 101 projects with 40 non-profit organizations, reaching hundreds of thousands of individuals. Notable initiatives include:

Blimey: A cloud-based learning platform developed in partnership with EnAble India, aimed at making digital learning accessible for individuals with visual impairments.

Smart Vision Glasses: Collaboration with Help the Blind Foundation to provide visually impaired students with AI-powered wearable technology, alongside scholarships and employability training.

Health Initiatives: Partnerships with healthcare organizations to prevent childhood blindness and enhance maternal and child health services.

Tech4All Program: Training underserved women and persons with disabilities for careers in technology through a comprehensive skilling program.

Cognizant Foundation India has received CSR Impact Awards from 2021 to 2023 for its significant initiatives, including “Preventing Childhood Blindness,” “Promoting Women and Child Health,” and the “Project Blimey” digital literacy platform. These awards recognize projects that effectively engage multiple stakeholders to achieve outstanding results.

Deepak Prabhu Matti, Chief Executive Officer of Cognizant Foundation India, expressed gratitude for the support received: “For the last 20 years, Cognizant Foundation India has been dedicated to elevating local communities towards a brighter tomorrow by addressing society’s most pressing challenges. We appreciate our partnership with Cognizant and its associates and remain committed to expanding the reach of our programs to ensure the benefits are shared widely and equitably.”
