Global technology and consulting firm Capgemini has announced the migration of the Auto Club Group’s (ACG) core insurance processing applications to Google Cloud, a move that empowers ACG to streamline operations, simplify its IT infrastructure, and enhance application capabilities and server management.
This strategic initiative was undertaken to meet an end-of-service deadline and address rising costs, leading ACG to seek a trusted partner with robust expertise in business and technology transformation, Capgemini said.
Capgemini, recognized for its industry-leading capabilities in supporting clients through similar journeys, emerged as the chosen transformation partner. Working with ACG, Capgemini executed a seamless migration encompassing the entire production and non-production server infrastructure. The result is a more stable, secure, and future-proofed technology stack, providing ACG with a scalable platform for future digital transformation initiatives.
ACG is set to benefit from substantial long-term cost savings, estimated at $500,000 per year, by consolidating its data centers and product suite onto Google Cloud’s infrastructure. This move not only ensures business continuity but also positions ACG for enhanced efficiency and resilience in the evolving digital landscape.
Madhu Nandagiri, Vice President Infrastructure and Digital IT at Auto Club Group, highlighted the significance of this initiative, stating, “This was a critical and time-sensitive initiative for ACG that will yield significant value in terms of cost savings, system scalability, and resilience and was a key component of our broader transformation journey.”
Shane Cassidy, Head of Global Insurance Business Unit at Capgemini, emphasized the collaborative effort to build a foundation for a digital and sustainable future. He expressed excitement about helping ACG realize quantifiable business value through the transformation journey and exploring new opportunities together.
