CA Technologies has acquired Grid Tools, a provider of enterprise test data management, automated test design and optimization software solutions.
The company did not disclose financial terms of the transaction to acquire the privately-held Grid-Tools. Founded in 2004, Grid-Tools has offices in Oxford, U.K. and New York.
The acquisition of Grid-Tools will enable CA Technologies to expand its DevOps business and focus on acceleration. Grid-Tools’ solutions allow organizations to accelerate their lifecycle by providing better test coverage, faster test creation and repeatable test execution for software assets, while reducing the time and resources to bring products to market.
“The application economy requires our customers to deliver quality applications faster. Legacy testing tools and reliance on manual testing are not suited for the speed and number of changes necessary to achieve continuous delivery,” said Jacob Lamm, executive vice president, Strategy and Corporate Development, CA Technologies.
