CA adds free Desktop Migration Manager to assist enterprises to move from Windows XP

Enterprise IT vendor CA Technologies has added its free CA Desktop Migration Manager (CA DMM) to assist IT departments to move from Windows XP to other operating systems.

CA Technologies said the product is available for download for all enterprises affected by Microsoft’s decision to discontinue support for Window XP. The solution offers zero-touch migration when used with CA Client Automation.

The company claims that CA DMM is designed to assist enterprises to migrate to modern operating systems to address security issues, reduce migration time and minimize productivity losses for their employees.

Addressing the challenge of recreating user’s desktop environment and upgrades or enhancements to computers, CA DMM performs the migration including bookmarks, address books and personalized background images seamlessly, said CA Technologies.
