Baxter Planning, a provider of technology for Service Parts Management, has won a five-year contract from IBM to implement its Predictive Service Supply Chain solution.
The cloud-based solution will replace legacy IT systems, allowing IBM to optimize, automate, and monitor their service parts inventory, resulting in reduced logistics and unnecessary inventory costs.
The partnership will support IBM’s Predictive Planning vision and will help the company improve customer service, as well as improve upon their already high net promoter score.
IBM manages over 350,000 parts and products, strategically dispersed throughout 74 countries, to meet their customers’ two-hour delivery agreements.
Baxter’s Predictive Service Supply Chain solution is expected to help IBM reduce inventory and service execution costs by tens of millions of dollars annually.
