Bank of Ceylon has expanded its relationship with Fiserv, a provider of financial services technology, for upgrading the Signature core account processing platform and Teller front-end teller system.

In addition, the largest bank in Sri Lanka has also selected Communicator from Fiserv to streamline the integration between Signature and third-party solutions in order to effectively respond to customer needs.

Luxaman Perera, head of Information Technology, Bank of Ceylon, said: “Fiserv has been a partner for over ten years and has helped our bank improve operational efficiency and streamline branch operations with consolidated technology solutions.”

With the upgrade of the Signature and Teller solutions, Bank of Ceylon has a new front-end design that offers a streamlined view of the customer for bank staff. On the back end, the bank now has real-time online transaction processing and streamlined end-of-day processes that save hours of manual work per day.

Marc Mathenz, managing director, Asia Pacific, Fiserv, said: “Fiserv provides the foundation that enables Bank of Ceylon to foster rewarding financial services relationships with the people of Sri Lanka, helping the bank make an impact through the delivery of financial services that are in step with the way customers live today.”

Meanwhile, Fiserv said three credit unions implemented DNA, an account processing platform, along with integrated surround solutions from Fiserv in the fourth quarter of 2015.

The credit unions include: Neighbors Federal Credit Union, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Texas Dow Employees Credit Union, based in Lake Jackson, Texas; Thrivent Federal Credit Union, based in Appleton, Wisconsin.
