Infotech Lead Asia: Avon Cycles, a cycle manufacturer in India, has tapped SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA to use real-time insights to action.
The new product suite brings analytics and transactions into a single in-memory platform.
Avon Cycles replaced Oracle to select SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA.
Avon Cycles wanted an IT system that can constantly manage a huge volume of bought out components – each bicycle has more than 360 components and there are over 200 models with an average of three sizes per model and three colors in each size.
SAP now enables the cycle maker to forecast its sales and plan for raw materials and components.

Nongfu Spring, China’s largest bottled water producer, is also a main customer for SAP’s Business Suite.
In 2011, Nongfu Spring became the first customer for SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse powered by SAP HANA in China.

SAP has supported in Nongfu Spring’s informatization process. By adopting SAP Business Suite, Nongfu Spring expects to achieve smarter business innovation, faster business processes and simpler business interactions.

According to IDC survey of more than 750 IT managers and business managers from around the world, 40 percent required more than two days to prepare financial data for reporting.
