Avaya launches Collaboration Pod 2400 for enterprises

Avaya has launched new model of the Avaya Collaboration Pod to serve the needs of midsize enterprises.

The company has launched the Collaboration Pod 2400 for midsize enterprises after the success of the Collaboration pod 4200 for Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and large enterprises.

The Collaboration Pod is designed for rapid implementation and streamlined management of Avaya Engagement Solutions. The new series combines applications, servers, storage, networking and management components in a ready-to-operate package.

The company said Collaboration Pod 2400 is based on solutions from Avaya, HP, EMC and VMware and can reduce the time to service for Engagement Solutions to weeks from months.

Additionally, the Collaboration Pod 2400 can be combined with Avaya’s unified access technologies for a complete, single vendor solution for midsize enterprises including networking, data center and applications for mobile engagement environments.

The company is also launching a fast-track Collaboration Pod onboarding programme for qualified Avaya channel partners.

“Midsize enterprises understand the strategic value of technology, but typically have more financial and skills support restraints than larger enterprises,” said Priyadarshi Mohapatra, managing director, Avaya India and SAARC.

Last month, Avaya acquired Esna Technologies, a provider of real-time collaboration and communications software to access multi-vendor communications capabilities voice, video, IM/presence, conferencing and messaging from within cloud-based business applications using their device of choice.
