Infosys announced its tech contract with ZF, a leading automotive supplier, to revamp its supply chain with SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP) and Infosys Cobalt.
Infosys, one of the leading IT service providers, has implemented SAP IBP for demand planning and inventory optimization.
Infosys leveraged its hybrid agile implementation methodology to replace multiple legacy demand planning tools at ZF Aftermarket, with a unified, global SAP platform. Infosys has helped facilitate complex operations planning with complete automation of safety stock by facilitating two-way flow of business-critical data between the new platform and external systems.
The implementation has helped bring about advanced demand forecasting, collaborative planning, improved responsiveness and efficiency, transparency, and interactive user experience across ZF Aftermarket’s supply chain. ZF, which operates 188 production locations in 31 countries, has reported revenue of €38.3 billion in fiscal 2021.
“Based on the holistic IBP planning approach and the guidance of our implementation partner Infosys, we built the foundation for improved availabilities and reduced inventories within our supply chain,” Rainer Scheuring, Vice President IT AC Market and Materials Management, ZF Friedrichshafen said.
Our collaboration will accelerate this leading automotive supplier’s ambitious digital transformation strategies and equip them with the agility and flexibility they need to deliver world-class products to their clients,” Jasmeet Singh, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Manufacturing, Infosys said.
