Leading infrastructure software provider, Aurigo Software, has secured a multiyear contract with Erie County, New York, aimed at modernizing the management of the county’s Capital Improvement Program. The partnership will utilize Aurigo’s flagship software suite, Masterworks, to optimize project prioritization, planning, and execution.
Austin, Texas — Aurigo Software, a renowned leader in capital planning and construction management solutions for both infrastructure and private owners, has officially announced a significant collaboration with Erie County, New York. The partnership involves a comprehensive effort to modernize Erie County’s Capital Improvement Program through the implementation of Aurigo’s software suite, Masterworks.
Erie County, located in the western region of New York State, boasts a significant industrial and commercial presence. With a population of nearly one million residents as of 2020, Erie County is the most populous county in upstate New York. The partnership with Aurigo is anticipated to foster more efficient project management and allocation of resources for the county’s capital projects.
The heart of this collaboration lies in the adoption of Masterworks, Aurigo’s robust software platform. This suite will empower Erie County officials to streamline the process of prioritizing and planning capital projects, thereby enhancing the allocation of resources and the overall execution of the Capital Improvement Program. Masterworks’ features encompass comprehensive project estimation and forecasting capabilities across various program phases.
“As our nation continues to invest in infrastructure, public agencies are leveraging technology to help select the right projects for their communities and deliver them efficiently. We are excited to support the County on this transformative journey,” Balaji Sreenivasan, CEO and founder of Aurigo Software, said.
Over the course of the next six years, Erie County is poised to allocate more than $220 million toward capital improvements. This investment will span diverse projects, ranging from bridge replacements and road maintenance to major stadium renovations and the establishment of an agribusiness industrial park. Masterworks is expected to be instrumental in optimizing the management and oversight of these endeavors.
Masterworks’ functionality extends to encompass what-if analyses, aiding in the identification of optimal project combinations based on strategic priority and available funding. Additionally, the software will facilitate real-time tracking of project budgets, construction administration tasks, and performance metrics. This technology will also contribute to the County’s commitment to promoting women- and minority-owned businesses by enabling comprehensive reporting.
The partnership between Aurigo Software and Erie County is part of a broader trend of modernizing capital programs within the public sector. Numerous local and regional agencies across North America, including Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, and various agencies in Colorado, Florida, and Ontario, Canada, have turned to Aurigo’s Masterworks to elevate their infrastructure initiatives.
The prevalence of Masterworks within the public sector has seen a significant boost following the passage of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act in November 2021, which has unlocked substantial funding for infrastructure development.
