Aurigo Software, a provider of capital planning and construction management software for infrastructure and private owners, is set to inaugurate its campus in Mysore, India, by January 2024. The move marks a significant stride for the company, aiming to elevate its current workforce of around five hundred employees to over one thousand in the next three years.
The surge in staffing requirements stems from heightened demand for Aurigo’s cloud-based solutions over the past two years, extending into 2024. The company has witnessed an upsurge in clientele within transportation, transit, local government, and other public sector domains following the passage of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) in November 2021.
Balaji Sreenivasan, CEO and founder of Aurigo Software, emphasized the strategic importance of the Mysore expansion, stating, “Our move into Mysore is not solely about expansion but tapping into a wider talent pool and optimizing operational efficiencies. As we strengthen our presence in Austin, Toronto, and Bangalore, Mysore emerges as a pivotal choice to harness talent and streamline costs.”
Major IT players like Wipro, Infosys, and Excelsoft Technologies have already established a strong foothold in the city.
Heramba Hegde, Vice President of Finance and Head of Facilities at Aurigo Software, elucidated on the rationale behind the new campus, stating, “Expansion to Mysore underlines our commitment to exploring new avenues. Tier 2 cities present a compelling blend of cost efficiency and a high-potential talent pool. With this fourth global location, Aurigo aims for sustained innovation and growth.”
In recent years, Aurigo clinched the largest deal in its history and is presently engaged in discussions with various state-level departments of transportation and other major entities in North America’s public sector. Their flagship software platform, Masterworks, facilitates digitizing the lifecycle of programs, including planning, funding, bidding, and managing construction aspects. Aurigo also offers top-tier solutions for right of way, permitting, field inspections, and materials management, catering to diverse capital programs.
