In a significant leadership transition, global technology leader Atos has appointed Yves Bernaert as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Yves Bernaert’s appointment follows the completion of the internal operational separation of Atos into two distinct entities in July 2023, propelling the organization into a new phase of its transformation journey.
With an impressive career spanning decades, Yves Bernaert, 55, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. Beginning his career as an auditor at PwC, Bernaert later joined Accenture in 1992, holding various executive positions within the company. Most recently, he served as the CEO Europe of Accenture Technology, where he achieved remarkable double-digit growth by focusing on cutting-edge digital technologies.
At Atos, Yves Bernaert’s primary mission is to oversee the next stages of the Group’s transformation plan and expedite the turnaround of its activities. A pivotal aspect of this role involves leading the development of the newly formed Eviden group. Eviden will offer a comprehensive range of solutions for digital transformation, encompassing digital technologies, cloud services, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and high-performance computing solutions.
Moreover, Yves Bernaert will work closely with Paul Saleh, CFO, in negotiating with EPEI, under the vigilant oversight of the Board of Directors, with the objective of presenting proposed transactions and contemplated capital increases to the Shareholders’ meeting.
In H1 2023, Atos Group achieved a revenue of €5.548 billion, showcasing a remarkable 2.3 percent growth on an organic basis. Eviden demonstrated exceptional growth, achieving a 7.0 percent organic growth in H1, driven by a 4.6 percent growth in Q2. The Digital Security sector witnessed robust growth, attributed to Eviden’s leadership and innovation in cybersecurity.
