Amadeus, a provider of technology for the travel industry, has selected Box enterprise content management and collaboration platform for its 13,000 employees.

As part of its enterprise mobility strategy, Amadeus worked to improve the sharing of information by employees when using mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.

The Accenture-run pilot helped reveal a number of additional benefits of using the Box platform, including secure collaboration capabilities with third-party organizations, a preview capability and Box Notes, a tool that project teams can use for collaboration.

“Moving to the Box platform with Accenture provides increased efficiency, security and simplicity for our employees, and helps our organization be even more productive and effective in working with our customers and partners,” said Alexandre Cabaud, vice president of Global Business Services at Amadeus.

“Through our alliance with Accenture, Box is able to help Amadeus take advantage of this period of tremendous IT change and opportunity, by empowering their workforce with truly collaborative technologies,” said David Quantrell, senior vice president and general manager of EMEA at Box.

IT services provider Accenture has implemented Box platform for all of the 13,000 employees. The deployment will help deliver productivity with faster access to content and improved responsiveness from the teams. Some third party organizations have also been provided secure access for collaboration needs.

More than 40 million individuals at 50,000 businesses around the world use Box to share and collaborate.
