Changi Airport Group (CAG) has partnered with IT service provider Accenture to unveil a new metaverse experience called ChangiVerse.
This digital space offers an innovative way for users to connect with Singapore Changi Airport and explore its landmarks virtually.
ChangiVerse is the first virtual experience created by an airport on the Roblox platform, which has millions of daily users worldwide. This move allows Changi Airport to reach a growing audience of digital users who want to explore travel destinations in new and exciting ways.
ChangiVerse is a digital representation of the airport where visitors can access fun-filled activities and social experiences. It includes familiar landmarks such as Jewel’s indoor waterfall, the Changi control tower, and Jurassic Mile’s outdoor dinosaur display attraction.
The platform also features interactive spaces, including cafes and glamping tents, as well as mini-games like Changi Kart and Check-in Champ, where users can earn unique collectibles to customize their digital avatar.
Hung Jean, group senior vice president of CAG’s Enterprise Digital Ecosystem & Business Division, said ChangiVerse aims to enhance Changi Airport’s reputation as a fun and magical destination, rather than just a transport node.
ChangiVerse is part of CAG’s efforts to revolutionize traveler and visitor experiences using interactive technology. The platform adds a new dimension to boost customer acquisition, engagement, and brand loyalty.
Wee Wei Ng, Southeast Asia market unit lead for Accenture, said ChangiVerse can simulate the airport environment, creating immersive experiences that elevate human interactivity to new dimensions, enhance customer experiences, and drive innovation.
