Accenture selects Medidata to expand cloud capabilities

Accenture has selected Medidata Solutions for its Medidata Rave, a cloud based electronic data and management services.

Accenture has selected Medidata Rave to power the expansion of its cloud capabilities for life science R&D.

To help Accenture improve its operational efficiencies, resource savings and decision making processes, Medidata provides a set of solutions, benchmarking data and industry analytics.

As part of Accenture Accelerated R&D services, Accenture is also enhancing its Life Sciences Cloud for R&D solution by integrating it with the Medidata Clinical Cloud.

Medidata Clinical Cloud is a software as a service (SaaS) platform designed to transform clinical research process for life science companies and patients who depend on them by increasing speed to market, lowering risk, and improving therapeutic value.

Accenture and Medidata will help the clients in addressing regulatory needs early by creating submission compliant deliverables.

The life sciences companies can configure their clinical data upon trial design in Rave.

Since 2002, Accenture and Medidata together deliver technology solutions and services to global pharmaceutical companies.

“Accenture has taken another significant step by expanding Accenture Accelerated R&D Services with the addition of Medidata Rave to help reduce our clients’ clinical setup time by up to 50 percent, while improving data quality and analytic reporting efficiency,” said Kevin Julian, managing director of Accelerated R&D Services, Accenture Life Sciences.

In February, TWi Biotechnolgy adopted Medidata Clinical Cloud to enhance speed, quality and productivity of its novel clinical study on metabolic disorders.

Last year in November, Medidata was adopted by Mundipharma Research Limited. Mundipharma used Medidata Clinical Cloud software platform to capture clinical research data electronically and leverage the platform’s analytics tools to enhance the speed and safety of its clinical trials.
