IT vendor Accenture today announced that it released a new version of its Air Cargo Pricing software – with several new features.
The main feature is that the new software is designed to assist air cargo carriers to avoid revenue leakage by increasing visibility and maintaining price integrity across the quote-to-ship cycle, said Accenture.
Accenture in a statement said the Air Cargo Price 6.4 software offers more options in rate creation and maintenance, additional and enhanced features to support the current interline market and can help increase productivity for users.
This apart, Accenture Air Cargo Pricing version 6.4, which is part of Accenture Freight and Logistics Software portfolio, provides an automatic rating engine that supports the calculation of applicable rates and charges for each transaction to improve transparency across the supply chain to improve cargo yield.
“For maximum profitability, carriers need transparency at every point of the shipping process, starting with the initial pricing quote,” said Malcolm McNamara, global managing director of Accenture Freight and Logistics Software.
The new version of Accenture Cargo Price can be implemented as a standalone product or as part of Accenture Freight and Logistics Software’s Air Cargo Suite, said Accenture.
