ZyXEL Communications has launched Unified Security Gate (USG) series of high performance next generation firewalls that deliver anti-malware protection and social networking control.
In a statement, the company said that the advanced series USG 110, USG210, and USG310 offer specific features to provide secure and always-on network protection for small-to-medium-sized businesses.
The Performance Series USG40, USG40W, USG60, and USG60W offer truly integrated security for remote offices, retail locations and small businesses, ZyXEL said.
The integrated WLAN controller supports CAPWAP (Control and Provisioning of Wireless Access Points), and enables centralized authentication and access management of Wi-Fi AP in the network. Users can easily scale up the WLAN and centrally manage Wi-Fi AP in the network without needing to purchase an additional WLAN controller.
USG series addresses the needs arising out of the increased adoption of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and cloud apps, says Wayne Hwang, AVP, ZyXEL Gateway Business Unit.
The solution addresses the increasingly sophisticated and pernicious Internet-borne threats and provide easy-to-manage protection systems required for today’s businesses, Hwang said.
